CAMBRA (Caries Management by Risk Assessment)

Caries Management by Risk Assessment is a method of identifying and assessing risk factors on a per-patient basis in order to prevent or slow down tooth decay. We will provide a thorough assessment of all of your risk-factors, and develop a customized approach for your specific oral hygiene needs.

Sealants

Dental sealants are designed to help prevent tooth decay, especially for back teeth which have pits and grooves that tend to trap food particles, and eventually result in tooth decay. Sealants prevent food particles from getting stuck in the grooves of back teeth, therefore preventing or stopping the advancement of tooth decay.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatment can help with the remineralization of teeth which may be in danger of decay due to demineralization (loss of minerals from the enamel layer of teeth). Fluoride is present in many of the foods we eat; however, in some instances it is advisable to utilize fluoride treatments in order to supplement the natural remineralization process. When fluoride from toothpaste and mouthwash is not enough, it may be necessary for your dentist to apply fluoride treatment to your teeth in order to help prevent decay.

Mouth Guard

Mouth guards are teeth coverings designed to help prevent severe damage to teeth from sporting activities or the grinding of teeth. Sports mouth guards, specifically designed for you, can help reduce injury with much greater comfort, as compared to store-bought mouth guards.
